
Joe Furlong is an Irish bassist, musical director and producer based in Berlin. A graduate of
BIMM Dublin's class of 2016, he is currently touring internationally with Kingfishr as musical director and bassist. Working as a touring session musician since 2016 with the likes of acclaimed Irish singer-songwriters James Vincent McMorrow and Sorcha Richardson, he has played all across Europe, America, Canada and Australia, including sold out shows in prestigious venues such as London's Roundhouse, The Wiltern in LA and Sydney Opera House, amongst others. Work with James has included TV appearances such as "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and "Later...with Jools Holland", featuring as a bassist, synth bassist and backing vocalist.

In 2020 he formed the Audio/Visual duo The Cope with David Anthony Curley.
Inspired by late 90's and early 00's dance music, they released their debut
album 'Dancer' in December 2023 which was accompanied by a number of eye catching
self directed music videos. Additionally, in 2022 they released an eponymous short film
in collaboration with award winning writer/director Jamie Delaney, which screened at numerous
film festivals internationally, including the Galway Film Fleadh.
